Our leadership team also sets the pace for building meaningful relationships with suppliers, partners, and customers, while mentoring the future leaders to carry on our tradition of excellence.
Will Bangham
Chief Executive Officer
Will has more than 25 years of management consulting and operations experience in the metals and process manufacturing industries. His expertise includes program/project management and operations involving M&A, complete corporate turnarounds, business re-engineering, and SIOP (sales, inventory, and operations planning).
He offers expertise in developing and delivering solutions that solve operational, technical, and financial challenges, focusing on long-term business success and sustainability. He has proven capabilities in effectively managing and guiding the efforts of cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between executive management, operations, IT, and finance to align the overall corporate strategy with execution capabilities and internal resources while minimizing costs and business disruption.
Over his career, Will has held various positions and worked extensively with companies, including Xerox, Nucor Steel, InfoWorks, and ITC/DeltaCom. He has an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Auburn University.
Will has been married to his wife Jennifer for over 25 years, and they have three children.
Harry Williams
Chairman
Harry has been in the construction industry as an owner-operator and the Rebar industry as a Senior Executive for more than 30 years. He has helped lead our company since 2009.
He is known for his proven ability in developing and maintaining client relationships. Harry’s expertise is bridging the gap between design engineering and the execution of the final product and large project management.
Harry lives in Southern California with his wife and is the father of eight children and the grandfather of 14 grandchildren.
Lou Parous
VP Corporate Strategy and Supply Chain
Lou has nearly 30 years of experience in the international industrial metals, chemical manufacturing and renewable energy sector in more than 20 countries. His broad experience base encompasses operations and executive management, strategic development, corporate turnaround, supply chain management, value analysis and value engineering, business analytics, industrial product and service line development, market analysis and blueprinting, contract and commercial management, manufacturing, technology, international trade management, marketing, finance, R&D, due diligence, process engineering, and M&A activities. He has built and led multi-functional teams in various product and service businesses in domestic and international settings as well as setting up companies in four countries. Lou also has a deep understanding of the interface requirements between management and operations, strategy and tactics, finance and commercial, with a customer-centered focus and excellent communication skills that build consensus and critical paths to success. Lou has lived and worked in both Germany and Switzerland, where he held executive positions in large and mid-size firms in the industrial technology and metals manufacturing space. He has two patents and has authored multiple technical and business articles and studies related to metals manufacturing. He has a BS in Material Engineering from Auburn University in Alabama and speaks numerous languages from his international experience.
Jose Sanchez
VP of Sales
Jose started his rebar career when he was 18 years old. He quickly rose through the ranks as a member of the Ironworkers Union, starting as an apprentice and ultimately into a leadership role as a superintendent. While in the field, he specialized in post-tension operations. Jose’s most recent achievement was the complex $315 million, 5.3 million pounds of paced rebar Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum renovation.
After 23 years in the field, six of which were with MSL, Jose transitioned into sales as a sales manager. Again, he quickly made his mark by combining his deep knowledge of rebar fabrication and placement in the field with his desire to position MSL as the rebar subcontractor of choice. Jose specializes in strategically utilizing technology, data, and metrics to drive bid activity while focusing on maintaining and developing relationships with General Contractor partners.
Jose is dedicated to his career and finds time to travel, usually to a lake, beach, or river destination with his wife and two daughters.
Jim Boyle
General Counsel
An Orange, New Jersey native raised in Southern California, Jim earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Los Angeles and a master’s degree from California State University Northridge before receiving his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Loyola Law School. Jim was a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and the Law Review while attending Loyola Law School.
Prior to joining Martinez Steel as General Counsel, he engaged in the private practice of law for approximately 36 years specializing in contract, real estate, construction, business, labor, and insurance litigation. Jim is a long-term member of the State Bar of California, licensed to practice in the state courts of California, the Federal District Courts in Southern California, and the Ninth Circuit US Court of Appeals.
Tomo Kamimura
VP of Fabrication
Tomo Kamimura is a registered professional engineer in California with over 20 years of experience in heavy civil and specialty construction. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Oregon State University. His experience includes managing projects in the water/wastewater treatment, dams, ports, piers, and MEP (mechanical, electrical & plumbing) markets. He has served in multiple capacities in the industry including engineer, project engineer, project superintendent, specialty department manager, estimator, construction manager and project manager. The projects he has been involved with exceeds $1 billion, over $500 million of which are projects that he was either the Project Manager or Construction Manager. |
Dan Portillo
Chief Financial Officer
Dan brings a breadth and depth of financial acumen to MSL including 4 years with the US Navy as a Petty Officer, a CPA license in the State of California and an undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University. After the Navy, Dan worked in varying financial positions in increasingly more senior roles including starting as an Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Division Controller at Republic Services, Controller at ExxonMobil, Corporate Controller at 4over and most recently as Vice President / CFO at Alliance Environmental.
Ian Huber
VP of Contracting
Ian joins MSL after 17 years in the construction industry. Ian brings his experience from the general contractor’s side to MSL. What started as a summer job with a grading contractor after his graduation from high school, morphed into a passion and career. Ian completed his bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management from CSU-Long Beach and is a registered Profession Engineer in the State of California. After starting with a general contractor in the commercial sector, Ian transitioned into heavy civil construction working for general contractors and managing large public works projects in Southern California.
